Service Fees Made Simple
Texas Notary Fee Schedule
Texas Government Code § 406.024 sets out the standard fees a Notary Public may charge for notary public services. In addition, § 406.111 sets out the fees of an online notarization.
All services (except online notarization) delivered by Signatures by Jerrie will incur a travel charge, which is separate from the Texas Notary Fees.
Online Notarization
An online notary public is a commissioned notary public in the State of Texas who has the authority to perform a remote notarization using an audio-visual conference rather than having the individual physically appear before the notary at the time of notarization.
$25.00 plus the regular notary fees authorized by Texas Government Code §406.024.
Acknowledgement/Proof of Acknowledgement
First Signature of each individual - $10.00
Is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, and formerly declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose.
Each additional signature on the same document $1.00
Jurat - includes an Oath or Affirmation
Is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary with an unsigned document, was identified, and was put under a sworn oath or affirmation to attest the statements in the document were true, then signed in the presence of the notary.

Verification - includes an Oath or Affirmation
Is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified, acknowledged signing the document, was put under a sworn oath or affirmation and verified the statements in the document were true and correct.

Oath/Affirmation of a Witness/Deponent in a Deposition
The notary administers an oath or affirmation to a witness/deponent in a deposition, including completing the certificate, affixing the seal, and other connected business.

Certified Copy of a Non-Recordable Document
A certified copy of a non-recordable document is a certification that a document was presented to the notary by the document's custodian, was photocopied by the notary, and is a true, exact, and completed unaltered copy. This document is neither a public record nor a publicly recordable document.

Certified Copy of a Notarial Record
A certified copy of a notarial record is a certification, pursuant to Texas Government Code § 406.014(c), that a preceding or attached document is a true, exact, and complete and unaltered copy made by the notary of a notarial record, the original of which is held in the custody of the notary. The Texas Secretary of State suggests that all requests for copies of entries in a notary's record book be made in writing through a certified letter to the notary's official address on file. Requests should include the name(s) of the document, signer(s), the type of document(s), signed, and the month and year of the notarization.

Performing any other notarial act or completing a certificate and seal not otherwise provided for under Texas Government Code § 406.024.

Travel Fees for All Mobile Services
Travel fees are not specified in the State Laws. Such fees are proper only if the notary and signer(s) agree beforehand on the amount to be charged. The signer must understand that a travel fee is neither required nor specified in the law and is separate from the notarial fees described herein. Travel fees start out at $25.00 plus $1.00 per mile over a 10-mile radius from the mobile notary. Rates vary depending on the time of day and distance traveled. Travel fees will be discussed prior to departure for your requested service.
